I had some luck fishing largemouth bass down there using jerkworms, right near some underwater plants. They've always come at it fast, and if you get your timing down, and give a good tug as they hit it, it's pretty easy to get them hooked on the line really well. I don't fish that often, and it took me a bit of time to get the feel and the timing down for that, but once I did it opened up a whole new world for me down there. Very satisfied with the results.
