Default 1974 Seacraft Scepter 20, new tank, and more, 3.5 MPG (North Palm Beach) $5100

This boat gets over 3.5 miles per gallon, see spec sheet.1974 Scepter 20. I’ve put too much time and money into this boat, haven’t we all! Functionally she’s a 10 everything works just as it should, cosmetically a 7.5. For a 20 she has a massive amount of deck space. There is also a huge amount of actual DRY storage on each side in front of the seats. Anchor locker holds 300ft of rope. Nice cooler/fishbox/ storage, under front jump seat. Storage under the rear jump seats. It’s a great boat.

Here’s a partial list of work done in the last year off the top of my head :
• New fuel tank (40 gallons).
• Completely re-wired with Blue fuse panel.
• New steering assembly, cable, and wheel.
• New group 27 battery.
• Re-did cap to hull connection (What a pain, but it’s rock solid now! A couple days, lots of 5200, hundreds of rivets, not looking forward to doing that again)
• Re cored rear seat (other hatches/seats are in good shape)
• Replaced all 5 brass drain tubes.

No soft spots in the floor. No “juice” comes out of the transom when things are mounted .

Yamaha 130, 91, no hour meter, has great compression and has never given me any problems (compression numbers later this week). My brother is a Yamaha certified marine mechanic, he maintains the engine.

Work done in the last year off the top of my head:
• Both trim rams and tilt ram, all seals and caps replaced no leaks whatsoever, top pin for tilt replaced as well.
• Steering tube replaced.
• New shift and throttle cables.
• Newer wiring harness.
• Replaced trim switch in throttle handle.

Galvanized trailer in very good shape.
• Bunks recently re-done.
• Hubs and bearings completely gone through two months ago before I made a 225 mile 4 hour trip with no problems.

Very fuel efficient and not affected much by load, several different prop reports below, you are welcome to whatever prop you feel is best for your application, in our case it’s the 17p Yamaha semi cleaver.

This is a boat we use several times a month, more in the summer. It can be fished or dove from the day someone takes it home, without reservation.

We're selling because the wife wants a cabin boat, and after owning a seacraft, I can’t imagine owning anything else (we picked up a 1970 safari 20) which puts me one boat over the limit.

Asking $5100 OBO. If you don't think it's fair and you're interested send me a PM. I'll keep dropping it till she goes, I know it's tough out there.

Call Matt 561-358-4079.

PS. just remembered Fuel hatch has also been re-cored.
