Angry You would think for $36,000

Bought a 18 Hewes Redfisher
it had a crappy little piece of starboard holding the center of the flip up bench seat, and it was only screwed into the fiberglass about 1/4 of an inch.
Of course it didn't break until 1 month after the warrt was over

Default Wellcraft rotten floor!

Well at least the floor didn't rot out like the Wellcraft that I owned.
Learned to never buy a boat with carpet on the floor

Cool Wood what a wonderful thing

I am a wood boat builder and I just have to say that you would think that since polyester resins don't adhere to wood very well and the product is porous, the big companies know this you think they would stop the practice. But then again you would not be buying new boat in a couple of years.

Cheap and fast is the motto of the big boys.

This is true of almost everything these days, unfortunately. They know if they make the boat to last for decades then you most likely won't be a future customer.
