Even with the cool weather and slight wind the Mangrove Coast Fly Fishers/Coastal Conservation Association 2008 Fall Flyfishing Classic was a success. The event was held out of Ken Thompson Park in Sarasota, but some of the boats fished down in Venice and other surrounding waters. One drawback to that plan was the problem of getting back to the weighin in time, at least one team missed the weighin. The tournament was a fun event with prizes donated by local businesses and visiting corporate sponsor Orvis. The following are the results turned in by tournament director Capt. Rick Grassett.
