I've never thought of doing that, it makes so much sense! I love fishing while standing in the water- it makes me feel more at one with the environment. I like how it feels- either in shorts or waders...

But what I hate sometimes is trying to get to my spot! So annoying to have to stop every so often to try to pull your foot out of a mud patch! Much harder with waders! There have been times I've decided to just go out barefoot. The mud is less of a problem, but the rocks! End up with bruised feet! LoL.

Snow shoes are such a simple way around that, it's brilliant.

I'm wondering if there are other things people to for the same result. (Asides from fishing from a boat- which I love too )

I thought I'd give your snowshoe idea a try and I must say it worked pretty well. However, my first try wasn't without a problem. My first attempt was with the "old" and long Jeremiah Johnson snowshoes and every time i tried to turn around I got tangled up. So, I bought a pair of bear claws. They're smaller and worked great. Thanks for the tip!
