Sarasota Bay Fishing Recovers 1/10/2009
WOW!
After the slump of inshore fishing caused by the red tides of prior years, the Sarasota Bay fishery has really recovered!
Took the wife out for some afternoon flats jig casting and caught fish on at least every 3rd cast.
Not ladyfish either, only 1 lady the entire trip. Mostly 12-14 inch trout with the largest at 18+. Lots of skipping pompano, but no hookups.
Kept a couple of small trout for lunch, let rest go.
Most action that I have noticed on an open flat in a couple of years.
GO GET EM!!!!!
