Sarasota fishing report 4/28/09
| We have had very good conditions for fishing this week with east winds and a strong, incoming tide in the morning. The flats around the passes have all been productive, Bird Key, Marina Jack, the middlegrounds, and Country Club Shores all produced trout, bluefish, Spanish mackerel, jack crevelle, ladyfish, and pompano. Speckled trout have been plentiful, with fish to 22" hitting 3" Gulp shrimp on a Cotee jig head, along with free lined live shrimp. The Spanish seem to prefer a live pilchard or live shrimp over the artificial baits. |
