Smile Garlic and olive oil tilapia

Personally, I love talapia, and I think this is a great recipe. This is for 4 small fillets, I guess about 4 ounces. If you have more, just increase the ingredients based on how much you're making of course!

4 fillets tilapia
4 cloves crushed garlic
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, chopped

What you do is you rub the fish fillets with the crushed garlic, then place them in a shallow dish. Spoon the olive oil over the fish until they are coated. Place the onion on top of the fish. Cover the fish and refrigerate overnight to allow the fish to soak in the marinade.

Place the fish on a baking dish along with the olive oil, garlic, and onion. A couple of friend of mine will sprinkle the fish with the cayenne or white pepper, but that's not for me.

I'll bake it at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes.

Well, I love it!

What a simple and classic recipe! The dish is cooked in a direct heat. No need to dirty up a frying pan at all. I can imagine smelling the aroma of the garlic and onion coming from the baked fish itself.

I do tilapia baked with milk and onion slices all over the top. A bit of salt and pepper is all that's needed for seasoning. The broth is awesome to save for making fish chowder or stew.
