best freshwater fishing place?

I'm into trout fishing and planning for a fishing trip with my wife on our honeymoon next week. Do you guys know where is the best freshwater place to fish for a trout (about 8-10 lbs.) aside from New Zealand?

I'm not sure about trout fishing but I know that the Great Lakes have some pretty excellent fishing spots. Have you ever thought of visiting one of the Great Lakes? I know you can catch fish upwards of 5 feet in length and over 30 pounds. Some of the fish that are caught in the Great Lakes are around the same size of those caught in the ocean.
